Prose is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Prose’s novel, Blue Angel, was a finalist for the National Book Award, and A Changed Man won the Dayton Literary Peace Prize. Visiting Professor of Literature at Bard College and a former president of the PEN American Center, she has authored 16 works of fiction and 8 nonfiction books. Francine Prose is an American novelist, essayist, and critic.
